Default Led Zep's The Song Remains The Same BLU

Heres a ? I hope someone can answer, have they fixed the dropout that happened during Bonzo's Moby Dick drum solo,I got the Blu in 2007 when it was first released, and before the recall(thanx Borders),I thought about getting the new one but I've heard from people who said that the sound loss is still there on the 2008 re-issue,it also looks like the Cameron Crowe interview was pulled/removed from the re-release Am I right about that one as well, maybe I have a collector's item!?!?

You are correct. Its the same blu-ray as the recalled version, but missing the Crowe interview. I was also one of the lucky ones to get the recalled version, thanks dvdpacific. I'm sure it will be a collector's item. Its one of my rare blu-rays I own!

It's a shame that the dropout is still there. I really wanted to pick this one up. It's a great show.

How long (approx) is the interview you all mention, and from what year? I haven't picked this one up but obv. if I do now, it looks like the newer version does Not have that, which sucks since we all know the C. Crowe/Zep connection.

I wonder if that version is avail. anywhere.

Yes, initially the 2008 re-release without the Cameron Crowe interview had the lossless audio drop-out as well, which was a shame. But WB has fixed the issue, and there are now fixed copies circulating. The Crowe interview is still missing, obviously, but for the first time the audio plays the whole way through without any glitches. People who ordered recently from Amazon report getting this version, and I'm sure other places have it as well.

There is no formal exchange program, but I'm sure a WB customer service rep would allow you to get your copy replaced if you called their customer service line.

Just got this blu-ray recently and love it!

This is one of those films I can watch countless times and never tire of.

The performance of "Since I've Been Loving You" is still my favorite.

This one really deserves a 4K release with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. I doubt it will happen but one can hope it will.

If it's going to happen, I would expect next for the 50th anniversary of the film. Fingers and toes crossed it does happen.
