Default Which of these Blu-Ray Movies are the best value/quality?

I have to choose from a small list of titles that I get for FREE from my SONY REWARDS credit card rewards.

I am wondering what movie is your favorite and also which movie will best show off 1080p.

I have a PS3 on the way and I want to enjoy movies and show it off.

So visual quaility (best transfer, etc) is of more importance then actually movie quality.

But I would very much like to hear opinions on both.

Do these have to be Sony titles or any Blu-ray title?

A list of movies or a link to it would be nice. If Tears of the Sun is on the list get that one.

This is not exactly what you asked for but on this thread people are using emoticons about the quality of the discs they own

mmm , of that list Tears Of The Sun is one that has received praise for image quality, and House Of Flying Daggers is kind on the opposite side.
I think Stealth has also been mentioned as looking good but don't take my memory of reviews for that one.

Best looking movies I have are...

Corpse Bride
Training Day
Blazing Saddles
Swordfish
Good Night and Good Luck

None on that list matey! I say screw the list and get Corpse Bride. It's like Tim Burton putting on a puppet show for you behind a sheet of glass.

Re Applefiend: he can't screw the list because he gets to choose one (or two?) movies from the list for free.

I think comedies have more replayability factor than drama. Action films are replayable too. But there's not much on the list.

So if you want to use it as a demo disc, go with the demo favorite : Tears Of The Sun.
