Post Cornetto Trilogy Box Set-11/19/13

Saw this mentioned on Edgar Wright's Twitter page yesterday. The "Cornetto Trilogy" aka Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World's End is being released in a box set on 11/19/13. Amazon and Best Buy both currently have it listed for $44.99.

The cover art says it also contains UV copies. It also mentions it's only 3 discs so it's probably the original releases in one box set. I'm going to pass on it as I have the comic-style steelbooks and don't see reason to double dip on the box.

I guess it's unofficially called the Cornetto/Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy.

So North America is getting The World's End before UK?

Wish the Box Art said "The Cornetto Trilogy" or "The Three-Flavors Cornetto Trilogy" on the packaging (as it's refered to). I don't typically like double/triple feature sets of unrelated titles (Especially out of release/alphabetical order), but with this being an 'Unofficial Trilogy', I'd really love that title to grace the spine and front of the artwork. If it's set-up like a triple feature release (As the current Artwork shows), I might not double-dip for the set as originally planned.

I'd cave if it said:

"The Corentto Trilogy: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, & The World's End"

or

"The Three-Flavors Cornetto Trilogy: Shaun of the dead - Hot Fuzz - The World's End"

...Or something to that effect.

Dunno if anyone else out there gets my OCD... Maybe I'm just too picky. =/

The press release for The World's End notes that the box set will have "interactive screenplays" for the three films but doesn't mention how they are included.

I'm going to do a marathon of the trilogy while eating those "drumstick" ice cream cones and drinking beer. It's going to be sweeeeeeeeet!

It might. The cover art for the UK Box Set says "Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy" on the side. It's pretty much the same art so it's possible.

"Two Great Films and a Not so Great One".

That'd sum the whole thing up.

Does anyone know what the Trilogy packaging will be like? It it 3 separate Blu-Ray cases in a slip box.... are all of the discs in a single Blu-Ray case, etc.?

There are pictures of it in The World's End thread. It's a single case. No clue whether it's a stack hub or a flap tray, but probably the latter.

It's a tray. No stacking.

Sounds like it's either an exclusive or that Canada has a different case in general. The release is in a normal blue case in the U.S.:

Where is the cheapest anyone has seen this? I've only seen AMZ which is around $35. I don't have any of the films on single disc though, so that may be worth it?

I'd love to have this. I've got Hot Fuzz and Shaun on DVD though. $20 would be a nice price for the trilogy.

That's the way I figured it. Didn't have any of the others yet, my friend gave me $5 for the UV codes, and I had a $5 giftcard, so at $25 + tax, I'm happy with it

Not a dealer exclusive because I purchased this yesterday at Wal-Mart in Canada and it came in a white case.

I don't know if I should grab The World's End for 12.99 or wait for a deal on the trilogy. Haven't seen any of the movies yet.

I loved Shaun of The Dead and Hot Fuzz and was very disappointed by The World's End, so I would recommend either getting the entire trilogy or even a double pack of the first two movies.
