I'm happy with my Standard Funimation Blu-ray of Your Name, so I probably won't get this, but it does look very nice.

On a somewhat related note, GKIDS is releasing a Weathering with You SteelBook in September. (no pics yet)
Looks like it's a pretty good year for anime SB collectors.

That almost looks like it could be a Mondo steel. Nice!

That is a very nice looking steel. Would just need to see the interior art for full judgement but the outside is quality. Would definitely get it if didn't already have the UK steelbook and the deluxe Korean boxset.

a fittingly beautiful steelbook for a movie that's held the the number #1 spot for top anime movie on myanimelist.net for a long time.

(not sure how long its been #1 but its definitely been in the top few for a very long time)

The Japanese steelbook I got uses the front artwork as a wrap around and looks insanely better than this. So I am good with that one. Not a fan of the spine of the US release. This is my favorite steelbook and a matching one for Weather With You is on the way from Japan as well.

Not sure. It was a retailer exclusive in Japan and shipped along side the collectors edition. It was an empty steelbook case so you couldn't buy it by itself.

I think the 4K is only released as the Collector's Edition in Japan? Regardless, I would love to have the 4K version as well, along with a digital version.

Definitely getting this as the artwork is so much better than the UK version (pic below).

Yeah, there's a 4K release in Japan, but I'm in the minority, that likes/watches dubs.... at least that openly admits it. I personally would much rather just sit back and give it my full attention and enjoy the animation without having to also read the dialogue and possibly miss something.

I’m with you there. I enjoy reading books and watching movies. Not a combination of both.
