Just picked this up for $25.49 on Amazon.com. That seems to be the lowest price ever and will probably be the best price ever so it seems like a good time to buy it. Just wanted to share this in case there are any other A&C fans out there. Now is the time to buy!

Does it contain the Jekyll and Hyde film and the one with Boris Karloff? I loved those on VHS as a kid.

Is the Blu Ray worth upgrading from the box set

Hard to believe that there is no blu-ray of this set , Some of the movies on here have made it onto blu-ray so why would anyone watch the dvd over the bluray . Universal can never do the right thing . They just license out there movies and we end up paying triple to (Shout factory) Or Importing and then double dipping on (Shout) later , Gotta love it .

Amazon ran out of stock earlier this week. They have given no indication that this will be back in stock. Prices continue to rise on new and used copies. Currently a 3rd party on Amazon will sell the set for $72.21. Best Buy is selling copies for $84.99. A 3rd party seller on Walmart is selling it for $64.42.

Probably discontinued it when they made the Deal with shout to release the Blu-ray version.

That was back in March. It's currently available new from Amazon for $67.95. a third party has it for $57.86. the 2014 DVD release, anyway. the 2008 version goes for more, but it's almost identical (a "trunk" instead of a slipcase to hold the disc cases).

As far as I can tell only available from third parties.

I still think its likely that the Shout Deal either includes the DVD rights, or that it requires Universal to stop producing copies at least for some time.

I picked this set up as a lightning deal last year but that Shout release is very tempting.
