Was overly happy when I saw this, hoping........., Then I followed the link provided...

Now I am afraid, that the 2 hours ditectors cut will NEVER be released, sad.....so sad......

love this movie but unless there is something really great included i doubt i'll double dip on this. would really like to see more titles that have no blu release rather than retreads

Am I excited? Sure - a great movie. I just wish that Shout! would put out more unreleased Canon films. The Barbarians? Alien from LA? Going Bananas? Treasure of the Four Crowns? America 3000? Come on, man! Hook us up with the goods!

Scream’s Facebook post says a new HD master is being made, presumably 2K from Warner directly. The cover sleeve is also not reversable due to Scream being prohibited from creating new art.

I really hope the unrated cut scenes would at least be included, even as a special feature. I've read so much about them and John Woo's Hard Target.

Never say never until it ships. There's been a few times in the past were Shout didn't announce a director's cut upfront and waited until they announced the extras. They may be seeing if they can find a good enough print for HD...
