I guess the "new and exclusive" grade is their way of saying it won't be using the German UHD master.

Dolby Vision is brand new for this release, the German release did not have that.

Yes, artwork isn’t great, especially as the art on the slipcase on the Blu-ray release was so good.
The Old Dark House was a rare Blu-ray I actually bought from my local Sainsbury’s. Even when they had dwindling levels of physical media, and then it was mostly mainstream dreck on dvd, it was such a surprise to see this on the shelf.

That art is absolutely rancid. Why not just reuse the lovely art from the BD?

I would assume that the art is exclusive to the slipcover and the regular case will be the BD art like how "Paths of Glory" was.

I wonder if I should pre-order directly from Eureka or wait for US retailers to have them up.

Pretty unfortunate the new art is dreadful, but that's just how it seems to go for a lot of releases now

I'd wait and see about US retailers; I don't imagine this one will sell lightning fast and it might be a little cheaper ordering non-direct

Yeah, I agree. I've been checking and its still not up at US retailers yet.

I missed out on the slipcover for the blu-ray version, and even though the art for the 4K isn't the best, I still want the slip and LE contents.

I really hope that at least more silent film 4Ks will at least get the Caligari treatment. That slipbox for it is a thing of beauty. I'm really hoping that The Man Who Laughs will get a 4K down the line since it got a 4K restoration to begin with. I missed out on its slipcover too.

The Man Who Laughs is another that's been on my list for a while now, I'm holding out for a 4K. Hopefully Eureka keeps these releases coming, Caligari was fantastic!

Diabolik has it up now. It appears to be the only US retailer at the moment to have it up for pre-order.
