Are you talking about this?
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Monty...Blu-ray/78922/ I thought there were a couple threads about it, but if not https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=319001 So far mostly superior results on the actual episodes especially given the original production and incredible mixture of different source material. Plus a near universal hatred for the self destructing outer packaging |

It's a US specific Region Free 60i conversion specific for the North American market different than the UK release. It's has a specific ASIN and UPC for North America and seems to be shipping directly from the US. It has it even has US logos and no UK markings. I'm not entirely 100% sure whether this is considered an import or not or if it's more in line with the Arrow Dual release items |

Also, having a separate UPC doesn't really make it a US release either. It simply means a UK label made a separate international version. The product is being sold by the usual places that sells imports like B&N, Amazon, DD, and importCD's. It's an import. Last edited by MifuneFan; 11-16-2019 at 05:02 AM. |

Network did in fact make a US edition (at 1080i 60hz):

I'm not sure -- I've tried to find pictures of the US discs, but so far I;m just coming up with the 50i UK discs.
Lots of external pics which aren;t distinguishable -- no UK logos which are definitely on the internal digipaks and Discs, but I don't think on the Slipcases or books. All in all it's certainly an oddity on all fronts. |

Is the US the only country it's made for? Can you point to me where Network said they're doing specifically a US release? Are the US the only country that does 60i? I'm not trying to be obtuse, I'm just trying to get clarification, as it just looks like a UK label making an international version, rather than a UK label venturing into the US market with a US specific release. It also seems rather strange that there hasn't even been a thread for this release until now considering how huge of a program it is. If it was a proper full-fledged US release, it certainly would have been huge news for months now in this section.

I'm not 100% sure about Mexico and some of Central/South America, but I', not sure these sets are even packaged except for US/CA. Most of the old NTSC countries outside North America I THINK are 50Hz compatible. I'm 99% sure the old Asian NTSC countries have no problems with multi freq compatibility. |

Okay fair enough, thanks. I do find it strange that most sites are listing it as an import if it's a proper US release, but I digress.

Again -- it's an odd listing.
B&N, Bullmoose don't mention it as an import Amazon calls it Norwegian Edition International, but doesn't have any of the usual Region B warnings that almost all UK items (even the region free items) have The Alliance Direct siblings (importcds, DD, Blowitoutahere) call it an import Yesasia lists it as "US Version" |
