Is this a first, a re-scan for a Steelbook re-packaging?

Is a standard, not-so-limited edition planned?

At any rate, good news. Hopefully, the reissue will address the gate weave and compression artifacting that were big flies in the nude, space vampiress ointment of so many.

I don't own the movie yet. The artwork doesn't do much for me. The movie is kind of shite, other than the gorgeous space babe in the buff. New 4K remaster is good. I assume this will not have the extra features SF had to drop from their first edition.

So, it depends on how low the price goes on this one.

Ugly... But very happy that this is getting a redo... as the original was botched and the Arrow is region B.

The original CE went OOP fairly fast so this is a nice collectible people can get in its place.

My copy arrived direct from "Shout/Scream" today in a bubble mailer... but inside a rather long box, including a cardboard tube containing the poster!

The poster is a LOT bigger than I anticipated. It's quite nice, but matte rather than glossy, which is okay.
Steel is in mint condition and void of any writing on the front cover except the title, which I'm very pleased to see.
I'm almost wishing I had ordered "The Howling" direct as well, in order to receive the accompanying poster but the price on Amz.ca ($24 Cdn) was too good to pass up. Hope it arrives soon...

So this is not the Arrow disc, correct? Will it have all the extras from the previous US release or maybe Arrow's? Should I hold on to my Arrow copy? Would you happen to have the answer?

Can't wait till I get my copy.

I see this will be missing the 72min "Cannon Fodder" making-of. I guess I'll be keeping both. For certain movies, I'm a completist, and this includes Lifeforce.

Yours is matte? The one I got is glossy, like the rest of the Shout! Steels, I also got the howling and army of darkness, but I was disappointed it arrived with the spine slashed to hell, the main reason I ordered direct was to get a pristine copy, every where else I have bought (and re bought) Shout Steelbooks they were damaged one way or the other. And for $27 a pop I thought they would be treated with more care direct from Shout.

^^ I'm saying the poster is matte, the Steelbook is very glossy.
Sad to hear your Steel is slashed, I'd certainly contact them for a replacement since you bought from source specifically to avoid such issues (tell them that!).

Sorry, Shark, haven't watched it yet but to my knowledge it is not the same as the Arrow release.
