![]() ![]() DisneyNature's latest docu-animal feature is all about penguins and specifically about an Adélie penguin named Steve. A rather simple coming of age story of him becoming a father to two chicks and how they endure and grow up in brutal snow and ice of the Antarctic. Cinematography is top notch and narration by Ed Helms is both informative and enough humor to cater to the kids, although at times he could have dialed it down a bit. I quite enjoyed this, but unlike say 'Born in China' which had the freedom to depict varied other species and animals, there's only so much you can learn and watch Adelie penguins in action and at only 76 minutes it's the right running time. I don't want to spoll to much of the story, but there's a sequence with a lion seal that might put some young kids on edge, "I" was quite unnerved by it - but hey it's G-rated. Recommended!
