TV Version Comparison:
https://web.archive.org/web/20120511...ort.php?ID=840 I'm really liking the effort companies (Vinegar Syndrome, Scream Factory, Criterion, and Sony) are now making to include the TV versions of movies. |

![]() This behind-the-scenes segment from a BBC TV show shows the filming of the scene from the beginning of the movie that was shot at Olvera Street in Los Angeles. The best part is director Michael Winner picking a random couple visiting Olvera Street to appear in the movie. He first asks for "two people in love" and, when no one volunteers, he says he'll take two people "not in love." ![]() If you are wondering why there are so many school buses in the background, it is because it is a popular destination for school field trips in Southern California. |

The Shout hat 2 cuts (Theatrical and International). Which one is the 4K version based on?

The first Death Wish is the superior movie, imo. It also sets up Charles Bronson's character and a bit of the back story that is touched on in the sequel. I would say yes, but if you know the story it's not necessarily going to make part 2 completely unintelligible or anything.

Yeah, it’s not like DW2 requires seeing the original to follow (not exactly a complicated backstory, and whatever minimal past links to the 1st movie are explained in exposition), but I’d watch the original first just because it’s a better movie, and a terrific 70’s vigilante movie in its own right.
Blu Ray of the first is a ten-spot on Amazon right now. |
