Default What are some of your favourite Australian films?

I thought there would be a topic but I couldn't find it in search.

Some of my favourites are Picnic at Hanging Rock, the Castle, Tracks and the Babadook. Oh yeah and I can't forget Mary and Max, I love that film.

I can't say enough about LAKE MUNGO (2008).. As a horror fan that has lost their taste for horror, I found this to be quite refreshing..
It is genuinely creepy and will take you on an emotional roller coaster from its slow burning setup right through to the end of the credits..

However did I forget about Lake Mungo, thanks for reminding me. I finally watched it a couple months ago and it's superb, one of the best horror films I've seen, especially among those released within the last 15 years.

Having imported a few Australian released Blu Rays of UK and U.S. films,I think there's loads of potential great movies that haven't seen the light of day on our shores.
They have a number of trailers of Australian films before it gets to the main menu.
I don't understand why they aren't released at all in other territories.

Thought of a few more

Snapshot (available on US DVD under the highly misleading title of The Day After Halloween)
Next Of Kin (needs a directors cut)
Dead End Drive In
Storm Warning
