Enjoyed this far more than I expected to. It has its issues, but I found it to be really enjoyable, and the 3D is top notch. Will pick it up for sure.

Let me just say I'm a big Oz fan!

As for this new movie it's ok I guss. I'm not sure if I wanna add it to my movie library just yet.

It's funny how they cast James Franco thats also staring in an upcoming film called "Spring Break" where he convinces young Disney Channel girls to Rob stores at Gunpoint, do drugs, and have Lesbian 3some Sex as The Great and Powerful Wizard Of Oz. haha

I know its only acting but it's almost as awkward as if they were to cast a Softcore porn star as Dorothy Gale in an upcoming Walt Disney version of The Wizard of Oz lol

***Spoiler Alert*** Well kinda if you don't know much about the casting. Just thought I'd through the alert in for those die hard Oz fans that don't wish to know anything about the film before viewing it.

The special effects were really nice and should look really nice on Blu Ray. The film also had some cute and funny moments so if I can get past the Casting issue I might pick it up !

I went in with lower expectations for Franco and felt he did an above average performance. He may not have been the ideal Oz but he did an admiral job. He had stronger moments and weaker moments.

Yeah, I love James Franco but I wasn't sure how he would do in this movie when I found out he was playing Oz.

I thought the film was fantastic with great performances from each actor. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but its a day one purchase in my opinion.

He plays the part of the lady's man / Playboy magican that uses lies to get woman to have Se..."dance with him" lol. He's young and not bad to look at but is just not very convincing as the Wizard to me.
He acts more like a dumb high school jock type and less like the classy,stuttering yet lovable old man we know and love as The Wizard of Oz.

Who would have made a better oz? I wasn't too fond of mila kunis either tbh. The movie was enjoyable though, and the 3d was great.
