Just saw PRECIOUS.
Probably one of the most emotionally charged films I have seen in years. It is so thought provoking, breathtaking, imaginative, passionate, sympathetic...every word that would explain getting the audience involved with the characters.

The acting was incredible. Monique did an incredible job. The same goes for Mariah Carey who was beyond good in this role.

The writing was fresh, realistic, and never came off as melodramatic.

The direction was great. The occasional close-ups on the characters made you feel their emotions. Some great shots (props to cinematographer).

The music fit it well, especially the gospel song was so dramatically fit for the film that it had me going wild!

This is a very touchy and controversial film. Go in it with an open mind and an open heart and experience what this movie is because no words can explain how it is. As the Oscar season is approaching, other films have a lot of competition against them.
