I've already watched it twice (both in Dolby). It has great rewatch potential....

Which sucks because it’s a movie that really benefits from the full resolution. For better or worse Soderbergh has a look that can look pretty smudgy if not presented properly. Guess it’s an import for me!

This sure does sound like a situation where the 4K ends up being an MOD release

Not sure I follow, wouldn't a MOD UHD still be listed at GRUV?

https://www.gruv.com/category/black_bag

Looks like it'll only be on DVD and BD in the US.

Hope there still is a UHD, of course, but the GRUV listing isn't promising.

UK pre-order now up on Amazon too. No release date yet and could always be cancelled but it’s starting to look pretty dang official for the UK at least.

There are a couple of examples of international-only 4K UHD at Universal. Most notably this release from 2019:

I could see the US going MOD, which is something that several WB titles did. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to see the film in Dolby Cinema, even though I really want to.

Fingers crossed. As a Soderbergh completist, I'm hoping it works out, I liked the movie a lot

Dolby is definitely the way to watch this, Soderbergh uses an alias but he's really his own DP and the look of this movie is something to be savored like fine champagne.

Looks like the UK and Australia have listings for Black Bag in 4K!

AU has no cover/placeholder image yet.

According to an announcement on this site there will only be a standard blu-ray release for this in the US at least on May 13th.
