So here is my situation:
I have an Apple4KTV. My brother has a MA account and I've been buying him codes from the buy/sell/trade sub here for my nieces. The APTV is easy enough for my dad to use, so I just have MA for it and it's in my brother's log in. Meanwhile, I've been buying 4K iTunes codes for my own collection and buying 4kmovies from iTunes store. I've noticed there are movies that don't redeem in iTunes store, and I've had to use FoxRedeem to get the iTunes code. There are movies I want to buy from studios like Warner that require me to get MoviesAnywhere. Is there anyway I can get the iTunes code for these like using FoxRedeem or do I need to get MoviesAnywhere? I like having all my movies in my AppleTV library without having to go to an app like MA to see them. I also don't wanna redeem these movies to my bro's MA account because his MA account just has nothing btu Disney and Pixar movies, and I don't wanna mix them up with movies like Sicario or It. I'd rather just keep the MA app on the TV just for his account for the kids, and have all my movies in my iTunes Movies' Library. If I make my own MA account and link it to my iTunes account, do I have to be logged in on the APTV for it to show my movies in the iTunes Movies section? |

Nope. You can choose whichever account you want to log in to Movies Anywhere, meaning you can have your own account but stay logged in with your brothers on Apple TV. The Apple Tv app is completely separate from the MA App on Apple Tv, both ways they don't know who is logged in. Its your choice. And yes, for new releases since Movies Anywhere launch (now nearly 2 years ago) you can only redeem those codes directly in Movies Anywhere (or Vudu for that matter, don't ask me why, but definitely not iTunes)

My goal was just to leave the MA app on the AppleTV as the "kids" section, since it's easy for my dad to navigate (Eventually I'll probably just buy another AppleTV for that room instead of them grabbing mine and putting it in there), link my MA account with my iTunes and have all my MA movies, e.g. studios like Warner, show up in my iTunes/AppleTV library? It's the only thing that's held me back from buying MA codes from people on here despite the fact a lot of the movies I'm looking for are MA. I know some people have suggested just making separate profiles on my bro's account, but I like keeping all my movies in one place and not having them mix with all the kid movies that I don't care for. |

Yes, MA will port to iTunes if the accounts are linked. I suggest you create the MoviesAnywhere account and do the iTunes linking on PC web browser instead of on AppleTV to avoid confusion (e.g. accidentally linking your brother's MA to your iTunes).

![]() So these are all the movies I've either redeemed via code (foxredeem), or they directly redeemed in iTunes (Paramount/Lionsgate stuff), or I bought it in the iTunes store. By linking my MA account with my iTunes, all my MA movies should appear in the iTunes Movies/AppleTV app alongside these correct, even if my MA App is logged in with my brother's account? That way as I said earlier, I can just keep the MA App for my bro's account as the kids stuff, and have my own MA account but not logged on in the AppleTV MA App, but all my movies port over with the ones in the picture? Sorry if I'm asking over and over, I just want to clarify before I start spending money buying MA codes on here in the Buy/Sell forum. ![]() Last edited by A Sith Lord?; 09-20-2019 at 05:44 PM. |

Only two of those films ("Logan" and "War Of The Planet Of The Apes") are MA. The others are from Lionsgate and Paramount.

I guess because they were released on 4K before Fox was bought by Disney. Because from the spreadsheet, the X Men movies like DOFP and Apoc can be redeemed from the blu ray, but their 4K releases are now through MA not foxredeem. |

War for the Planet of the Apes and Logan are MA today, but they were also among the last Fox Blu-rays that came with iTunes-redeemable codes. |

Thanks for the assistance everyone.
Just made my own MA account, and redeemed two codes. My iTunes-MA eligible movies showed up in MA in my browser. Initially the two movies I redeemed didn't appear in my iTunes. But once I closed it and re-opened the program it showed up. Not home so can't check on my APTV but I'm sure it will show up there no issues when I get home in a few days. |
