Despite being a big fan [and On Dangerous Ground is one of my all-time favourite films], I've yet to see any of Ida's directorial efforts. This set will be the best way for me to rectify this. Great news!

Sure would love to upgrade my DVD of "Lust for Gold" (one of my all-time favorite movies, starring Ida Lupino). Hope it's released to blu ray some day.

Day one!! Would love to see Columbia's LADIES IN RETIREMENT get a blu ray release! Lupino is amazing (as always) in this one.

I just watched The Hitch-Hiker. Excellent picture quality, but Kino's ugly little Verdana subtitles look so tacky.

At least this release has the subtitle option in the first place. This gives it another edge over the previous Blu-ray release.

It's actually even cheaper at DD, and they also have occasional 15% off sales

I own Kino's earlier release of "The Hitch-Hiker". Can anyone familiar with that blu ray compare it to the new disc included in this package? The 2013 release was far better than any dvd that existed at the time, but there was a lot of film damage visible -- especially in the films opening minutes.
