I assume this will inherit the encode of the US version?

It looks like it's double the discs (10 vs. 5) so hopefully not.

I assume this is a bad thing? Can someone explain why? I'm not up to date with US releases...

No, not a bad thing. There's no glaring flaws on what's out there. But there's always room for improvement. If the encode was different and of better quality, I wouldn't mind getting this. Hopefully there won't be any typos on the covers.

So I take it Manga UK have officially branched off from being an anime-exclusive distributor. I'm fine with that as their name was a bit misleading anyway.

I'm looking forward to picking this up. Hopefully they will also licence all the other Cartoon Network classics that Madman has authored.

i think they've been publishing non anime content for a while now, i know they have a bunch of Japanese live action movies and they also publish Power Rangers on dvd over here

I love this show but the price is far too high. It should be around the £40 mark, not £70 or £80.

good to see that it looks like a 14/15 case, after stuff like Death Note i was worried they were gonna stick it in 2 seperate cases rather than a 5 disc viva or elite case

it's a manga boxset so it'll probably drop eventually, i think Ghost in The Shell Stand Alone Complex was £40 originally, now it's just a little over 50% of that, i just hope they don't pull another Jojo and only print a few copies so it falls out of print again

Just saw this set come up on the UK Blu-ray deals section. I had almost given up on it ever coming out in Europe, although the AU release should have been a hint it might come to the UK as well. Now if only UK stayed in the EU so i won't have to pay import fees.

It's also great that it's a slim set, i used to love those big bulky boxsets, but after many years of collecting i got over them and prefer a nice thin case over those behemoths on my shelves.

Love this show, but the price, wow, hopefully it drops to a more realistic one.

Down to £55 at Amazon and Zavvi. Not sure whether to wait for further reductions.

I paid Day One prices for Batman: TAS and Ghost in the Shell: SAC and both dropped significantly in price a while after. I'm hoping Sam Jack will follow suit. Around £40.00 would be nice.

The packaging is really basic so it's overpriced at current prices. For that price you'd expect a nice little package but it looks kinda cheap.

I've been waiting for the price drop.

Currently £37.49 on the deals page.

The time is right.

Would a kind soul who bought the Region B set check if their set has the same error as mine?

It’s a spoilery moment in the episode, so the request is for anyone that has already seen it, or doesn’t mind spoilers.

It’s on Disc 01, Ep 09, time code 15:10. It’s during the laugh immediately after
[Show spoiler]Aku says: “...for as long as I see fit.”
For a brief moment mine resembles a corrupted jpeg, something like this:

Thankfully it doesn’t freeze, but I’m curious to know if it’s unique to my copy or not.
