Hi,
I have been collecting movies for a while. I gladly threw out my VHS and Laserdiscs (I still have 2 LD backups tho) I gladly rebought favorites on Blu Ray after owning the DVD. (Guess I'm good for the movie business) Now I collect 4K movies in iTunes and have been doing so long enough that they are starting to dis-appear or at least become not the version that's current in the store. (I'm not sure any of the 4K iTunes movies have really vanished but some of my HD movies have and a few I rebought.) One of my 4K titles seems to have a newer version in the iTunes Store because the iTunes Store isn't aware it's in my library. So, how do we feel about buying and collecting iTunes when they can be remotely taken away ? ... I don't feel all that good about it but I want to keep collecting them. Curious what others think. I have no UHD Blu Rays and about 300 iTunes 4K titles. I'm thinking of cataloging them here so I can keep track of when they dis-appear. Granted I don't expect movies that I got from Vudu Disc 2 Digital to get the free upgrade to 4K and those were $2.50 to $5 each so I don't really mind re-buying those. -Brian |
