Tom Atkins, Omar Epps and Jamie Kennedy Starring in Todd Farmer and Patrick Lussier’s ‘Trick’:

Writer Todd Farmer and director Patrick Lussier, who collaborated on My Bloody Valentine 3D and Drive Angry, are reteaming on Trick, a brand new Halloween-themed horror film that has just kicked off production. The film is now shooting with Omar Epps stepping into the main role of Detective Mike Denver, a man obsessed with a killer that has eluded him.

Trick also stars Ellen Adair (Showtime’s “Homeland” and “Billions,” USA’s “The Sinner”) as Sheriff Lisa Jayne, the sheriff in the small town of Benton who has always considered Detective Denver as her mentor. Cheryl Winston, the only survivor of the latest round of killings in her small town, will be played by Kristina Reyes (“Blindspot,” “Shades of Blue”). Talbott is played by horror legend Tom Atkins, and Jamie Kennedy (Scream) will play Dr. Steven.

The story centers on an elusive serial killer, who descends upon a small town annually.

“He is responsible for gruesome murders year after year, each seemingly unrelated. No one believes this could be the same killer. Detective Denver has faced Trick once before, having -shot and killed him. Or so everyone keeps telling him. However, Denver knows Trick is still out there, and he’s coming back for revenge.”

Ellen Wander is producing the film.

Loved what they did with My Bloody Valentine 3D but hated Drive Angry.
If we get more of the former, I'm on board.

My wife and I are there. Both big Tom Atkins fans.

They had to cast Omar Epps as the cop. If it was Tom Atkins the movie would be over in 5 minutes because the killer would turn himself in out of fear of the Atkins beating he would get.

I liked both My Bloody Valentine 3D & Drive Angry so im in. Plus it has Tom Atkins which is another major plus.

As someone who enjoys those unpretentious B-movie revels MY BLOODY VALENTINE and DRIVE ANGRY, I'm certainly on board for this (the only time Lussier lost me was with the godawful DRACULA 2000). Both of those films were greatly enhanced by the fun 3D, so here's hoping TRICK is shot in the format

Not familiar with either Adair or Reyes, but the camera clearly loves them on the level of Jaime King and Amber Heard so let the drive-in horror shenanigans commence!

I'm betting Todd Farmer can't wait to hit us with his requisite naked cameo a la MY BLOODY VALENTINE and DRIVE ANGRY...

I liked My Bloody Valentine 3D and loved Drive Angry. Plus it's a horror flick. Unless it looks terrible I'm probably watching.
