Predator 2 & Robocop 2 are firmly under-rated movies that get too much hate.

I think you got all my favourites, but shout-out to Flatliners, which I’ve always enjoyed.

Yes i enjoyed Predator 2 and Robocop 2 since i was 9 seeing the movies in theaters as i saw the first ones in theaters as well. I think Predator 2 is criminally underrated as it's not the same leftovers as the first as it didn't need to be in the jungle again as it went to the urban jungle in the summer in L.A. which makes it very refreshing and it didn't need Arnold again as afterall Dutch is the second star in the first movie but the true star of the movie is the title monster afterall and i like that there's also more predators in this movie. And Arnold had to do Total Recall which was a right choice and glad the script changed originally had Dutch but has a different character.

I like the direction as the director of the movie made up for his disappointing Elm Street 5 and i think this is his best movie no doubt. Nice pace, Danny Glover proves he can be a badass like in Lethal Weapon movies and lots of action with nice gore and make up effects even nice creature effects. Plus i think it's the last worthwhile Predator movie. I'll continue to defend the movie as it's one of my fave sequels.

Robocop 2 i think is underrated too as it's just as violent as the first movie but what i like about it is that it's a clever satire on political correctness just like the first one was a clever satire on media and corporations, i love Robocain which was a nice addition and all that. To me it with Robocop vs Terminator comics by Frank Miller were the last worthwhile robocop things in my view before he got watered down by 3, the TV show, the miniseries and remake which took away the badassness of the character Robocop away and turned him into a joke.

First of all, God bless that movie theatre who let a 9-year-old in to see Predator 2 LOL.

In some ways, I can understand the movies’ critics. It is actually not a conventionally good movie, really. There are significant warts. But hot damn, it’s a ****ing blast of a ride. I appreciate the different setting, too. Paxton & Busey are entertaining in different ways, & let me give a big shout out to Morton Downey, Jr, who as reporter Tony Pope, has so many hysterical rants.

There’s a lot of laughs in Predator 2, it isn’t taking itself as seriously as the first film, & yet still respects the source & expands on it quite nicely in the last 20 minutes. Yes, it is heavy on stereotypes & the dialogue is mostly designed only for plot advancement, but the Pred has some great new weapons, the mythology is extended, & it’s just a fun ride, really.

This director also made another under-rated movie, The Ghost & the Darkness (1996).

Well both Predator 1 and 2 are five out of five star movies in my book for me on my ratings. Like robocop is five out of five stars and Robocop 2 for me is 4 and a half out of five stars.

Personally I regard the first movies in those franchises as bonafide classics more than a cut above their immediate sequels, but I’m with you when you say the real drop-off for both comes with the third movies & beyond. They’re all just degrees of bad after the first two.

AVP 1 and 2 were just crap, Predators i found disappointing and The Predator 2018 was terrible.
