Wouldn't be surprised to get this as a late December release. Maybe January if it does well in theaters and they want it to run longer.

(Meh).

MGM still own this movie. I don't see UHD 4K by MGM studio. That's beginner.

Sony is a pro. Warners Bros. is a pro! Cowboys.

I loved the movie. I was already wanting a copy in 4K before the movies was over. The ending was not the best but are they ever?

I felt like I was watching the three amigos mixed with the quick and the dead and a littl Jurassic world. It had a lot of action in the end. The last 15-20 minutes was amazing. The comedy kept coming. Mostly by Chris Pratt. My favorite was probably Vincent D'Onafreo (SP?). The first hour was the town in trouble and introducing the 7 characters.

I just went back to make sure I didn't add my account to the link above and I saw that the forums automatically added it's own referral. Pretty smart coding guys!

This is a violent PG-13 film, but it's not absolutely off the wall hard R like The Equalizer.

It pays homage to both the original source material, Akira Kurisawa's Seven Samurai, as well as the original American retelling, The Magnificent Seven. More of the latter than the former in tone, however.

Unfortunately, they had Chris Pratt act a little too modern for a period piece.

I'm gonna hold out hope that the 4k version will end up being an unrated version. I know amazon says pg13 but that information is subject to change.

Saw the movie tonight, god awful, I don't think so. That's alright, there are movies I don't give a chance just because of who is in them.

Parts of the film were shot on IMAX 65mm, the rest of it anamorphic 35mm, should be a nice looking disc.

Parts of the film were shot on IMAX 65mm (at least that's what I read at some point), the rest of it anamorphic 35mm, should be a nice looking disc.

I think the whole film is anamorphic 35mm (still nice, aren't enough 4K releases which were shot on film). IMAX hasn't put any marketing about it being shot with IMAX cameras, I didn't see it in IMAX but someone who did said it was scope throughout instead of IMAX ratio, IMDB's tech specs (albeit unreliable right around release) list it as just 35mm negative format, and in an interview I could find the director just mentions shooting on anamorphic film.
