I can't wait for the movie, they said will be directed by David O.Rusell and starring by Mark Walbergh, Jennifer Lopez & Leonardo DiCaprio

Are Leonardo DiCaprio and Marky Mark the go-to actors for true crime stories now? They're no DeNiro and Pesci that's for sure.

This documentary is getting made into a feature film? Never would've expected that.

I've seen this doc a ton of times, including the sequel. With all he crazy stories in Cocaine Cowboys it probably will make for a good movie.

By the way, what the heck is an O Card packaging?

Can't compare them because they are different people and thats a good thing because each actor have original qualities.

I know Wahlberg is still attached but DiCaprio was attached years ago. I hope he still does it. As for JLO playing Blanco, I'm not sure would be the greatest choice unless she wants to gain some weight which I highly doubt.

Yeah, Jennifer Lopez wants to play Griselda Blanco
She's a good actress just check: Selena, Out Of Sight, El Cantante, An Unfinished Life

My favorite documentary series and I have read John Robert's book American Desperado. This will be a day one purchase for me and I hope they release the first two on blu-ray as well.

I have heard its not only going to be a movie but a HBO series as well.

I'd like to see Rosie Perez as the Godmother.

I agree. And that caboose of hers doesn't have the same swag that did back in 2002.

+1
I also find her voice really annoying...regular voice not singing voice, but that's horrible too.

I vote for Paz Vega or Penélope Cruz...if they gained 100lbs.

Rosie Perez would totally nail it as Griselda Blanco. She'd willing to go that extra effort to play such a compelling and lethal person. Gain some weight. Totally immense herself in that world and that life. Stuff like that.

Now let's not short change J-Lo either. She can act and as her career has shown she is definitely dedicated. I just dont see her uglifying herself like Charlize Theron did for Monster.

I wonder if they will be filming the HBO miniseries soon? I really hope it starts out how the book does and in each episode start off with Jon Roberts telling the story to Evan Wright who again is played by Lee Allen Tergesen a nice nod to Generation Kill.
