Default The Godfather: The Complete Epic 1901-1959

I was surprised not to find a search result here for “The Godfather: The Complete Epic 1901-1959.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Go..._Complete_Epic

As the above link explains it is not the same as “The Godfather 1902-1959: The Complete Epic. “The Godfather: The Complete Epic 1901-1959” is 423 minutes with more footage obviously than the 386 minute “The Godfather 1902-1959: The Complete Epic.”

I remember back in 1977 when it aired as a miniseries on NBC I was blown away by it. I hope time has been kind to that memory! I get that many may disdain this cut of the two films, but I really liked it at the time.

I did receive it in the mail a couple days ago and popped it into the Blu-ray player just for a quick look at the opening of the movie and was a bit disappointed by the look of it. But I’m still hopeful that it roughly stacks up to what I remember from 44 years ago lol!

I wish it was available on 4K. If it is, I haven’t been able to find it! But hopefully the upscaling from my Samsung UBD-K8500 blu ray player (and LG OLED TV if that upscaling runs as well) will kick the 1080p up a notch as a viewing experience.

Anyway, have any of you seen it?
