Outside of Marvel, the Russo's aren't doing too hot, with their production company, AGBO.

Assassination Nation bombed, and I don't see 21 Bridges making much moolah.

I missed the poll, but I agree with those who have Frozen II at around $150M or so.

Heck, I paid for a ticket and couldn't even go! (Sick)

First update from Deadline:

Quote:
Current running box office for Disney in U.S/Canada is $2.946 billion per Comscore and Deadline calculations, which includes last night’s $8.5M Frozen 2 preview cash. Should Frozen 2 make $54M today, then Disney will clear $3 billion today. We’re hearing at this point in time that it’s looking more like $45M, which would mean the studio clicks past $3 billion tomorrow.
45M puts it at around 115-120M opening, but I will wait to see when Anthony does his full update post.

I noticed a ton of empty seats at the Cine1 at Harkins and quite a few other premium theaters late last night (10pm+ showings). They're packed any time after 3 pm today, with the exception of 10 pm+ showings.

I probably guessed way too high, but I think $130 isn't out of the question because this is more of a weekend matinee grosser. The short run time and being released relatively soon after Frozen 1 helps. Even though the sequels were nearly a generation apart, The Incredibles and Finding Nemo are recognized as outright classics with huge fan bases.

Two screens left in the entire Memphis area, a total of six shows per day.
