Blake Lively to star in MMA drama "Bruised" - Blu-ray Forum

Well, I really liked Southpaw, so if this is anything like that was, it's really good news. And let's face it: I'll watch anything with Blake Lively. Anything. Loved her ever since "Gossip Girl."

I really liked her performance in The Town. If she can bring a bit of that edge and roughness to this, it could be a great movie for her.

And if we get a Blake with some weight on her, some muscle...she'll be even hotter than she was before.

And I do agree in that some of the grit she had in the Town would do here.

Went to see it today while it was still playing theatrically (and was the only one in the whole theater). This was... not very good. Berry definitely shows some potential as a director, especially in the third act match, and she gives one hell of a performance as the titular fighter, but the script does her a severe disservice as it's caught between being a generic tortured sports figure film and "Monster's Ball"-esque misery porn that threateningly veers into parody in the second act.

I'm real tired of every Netflix movie being 2+ hours just for the hell of it.

This was just okay. The fighting scenes were kind of dull. They threw every dramatic plot twist in the blender.

and the storyline with the son could've easily been written out and not have affected the movie at all.
