Madame Wu (Sibelle Hu) has been assigned to the Hong Kong Police Academy to train female Banshee Squad Members, next door to the male Tiger Squad Members lead by Inspector Kan (Shui-Fan Fung). After internal conflicts and courting mishaps, the squad members were ordered to band together to round up a gang of thieves at a convention

Yeah, I make sure to write tentatively now with all of their releases . I used to put dates in my thread titles too, but that backfired repeatedly with several of their releases so I've pretty much stopped that altogether now.

I got so tired of all the 88 delays (even though I do love their releases) that I now have a spreadsheet on my laptop with all the releases from Shout, Arrow, Criterion and 88 Films over the last 3 years that I add titles to when they are announced, highlight it yellow if I am waiting for preorder. That way I won't forget a release lol

I feel the same. I expected it to be a police squad of girls kicking ass, but most of the movie is them in school. Still a fun time (love me some Kara Hui), and the ending is great as expected with these kinds of movies.

I know the feeling of having to cut back. I basically only buy horror & Asian films now. This way I concentrate on my favorite film genres & the ones I watch the most.

Yeah, I'm at the point where I have so many movies that I don't think I'll be able to watch a lot of them again. I really want to focus on the things I really love more than anything as time and space becomes more scarce.

I watched this on Prime a while ago too.

I was expecting an action movie and this certainly wasn't one. It is very light on action.

I just watched this on Tubi like a month ago. The movie like others have said is mostly like a summer camp Comedy of two rival camps. The movie is bookended by two cool action set pieces. I'm curious what special features this will have though before deciding to pick it up or not.

Yeah, US (or NA) only it appears, since it's not with the other UK titles that have been revealed. Speculation is Eureka has the film, and perhaps its sequels for the UK.

OK, thanks both of you. The article on City On Fire seemed to imply that it would be an import in the US, hence Region B.
