Default WTF Rotten Tomatoes Scores

OK, OK, RT scores really mean very little and those if us with brains in our heads don't pay too much attention to them.

Having said that sometimes a RT score genuinely surprises you with a super low or high percentage. So what movies do you like or dislike that you think the tomatometer is way off with?

I'll start with Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. 21%

That's some bullcrap, that film is funny af, I dont care what anyone says. 21%! Just wrong. Carrey's enthusiasm alone deserves at least 40%.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters from 2019. 42%?! That movie is everything I want from a smashy smashy giant Kaiju movie.

TRON Legacy - 51% - too low
Speed Racer - 41% - too low
When a Stranger Calls (2006) - 9% - way too low
Problem Child - 0%!!! - I mean, it’s not great, but a zero?

Spielberg's Hook deserves way more than 29%.

Always take in the critics AND audience scores. Not just one or the other.

It's a terrible movie, you're lucky it's that high.

Spielberg's War of the Worlds - 75% (42% AS)

I remember the film being generally disliked when it first came out, or at the least, quickly forgotten about. I'm impartial to it because I'm a fan of the director and source material, but even after revisiting it this past summer, I think the movie has some really annoying lead characters and is rather dissatisfying as a adaption in some aspects. Cruise has been in better roles.
So I was really surprised that the film is borderline Certified Fresh.

Friday the 13th The Final Chapter - 21%

Commonly regarded as one of if not the best in the series(I agree) is one of the lowest % in the series.

Yeah, not to mention the "they've been here all this time" change makes the twist ending braindead.

In the original, least they set up that the invasion was an all or nothing thing on the Martian's part.

Anything Christopher Nolan above 29% is too high.

White Chicks at 15%

Terry Crews all by himself is better than 15%.

C'mon, man!

The opposite. All I wanted was a smashy smashy giant Kaiju movie and what I got was a Kaiju movie where they cut away from the Kaijus every 30 seconds to focus on the humans. There wasn't a single coherent fight scene in that movie.

Godzilla vs. Kong did it much better and got a better score.

LOFL. Gotta love hyperbole to defend crappy films like GvK.

GvK, whatever flaws it had, wasn't afraid to show prolong sequences of Kaiju beating the nuts out of each other. I can't say the same for KOTM.

You mean, prolong sequences of lame Kaiju fights that felt like it couldn't wait to be over and done with?

No thanks, I'll take KOTM any day of the week. Least that got how epic Godzilla and everyone else should have been instead of the "Been there, done that" waste of a rematch 58 years in the making.
