Masters Of Horror Vol. I-IV - Blu-ray Forum

I wanna pick up vol. I-IV, my question is... Are they worth it? Anybody that has seen them gimme your opinion.

I've seen all the episodes - but not on blu-ray. I am also curious about what forum members think about the PQ with these MoH BDs...

By the way, as far as the show goes, it's worth it for horror fans...

If you like horror flicks its definitely worth picking it up.
I didn't like every particular episode, but the good ones make up for the bad ones. I bought this on blu when it first came out and was able to sell my DVD versions just in time...
The encoding is "only" 1080i ! But compared to the DVDs a big improvement imo.
Plus it will save you a lot of space (I had all 13 DVDs now compared to just 4 blu cases).

The episodes are so hit or miss. I watched these during their original broadcast and some are just terrible.

I liked most (but not all) of the episodes. If you're a fan of horror movies, I think they're worth it. I thought the PQ was pretty good on all of them but they're definitely not demo material.

I have 1-3 so far. I'm a fan of Horror and like most of the episodes. I personally find them to be a good purchase.

I bought all four volumes and think they are great! There was only one episode that I didn't like. The picture and sound quality is really good too. I am very glad I picked these up.

Sorry to ask a dumb question but I was looking into buying these as well, are they like movies or shorts, or like all parts of a miniseries. Also are they uncut or unedited since they aired on Showtime? Thanks to whoever know

They are kinda like Tales from the Crypt shorts.

3 eps per disc on vol 1.2.3
4 eps on v4

I had to look at the cases its actually 3 on the first 3 volumes and 4 on v4

PQ of the dvd version was fine for me got all in a cool colectors crypt only bad part is all the dvd's are in paper slevs but$29 shipped was worth it vs $20 each for blue.

The other thing is that they are longer episodes than what you would find on network TV BD collections due to the lack of commercials. When you watch them, you feel as though you are watching a mini movie. Some seem to last a long time. Classic Star Treks are 51 minutes long for an hour episode. I have seen 35 to 40 minute "hour long" episodes in todays market.

I think the blu's are included in the amazon sale, but WM has the DVD set broken into 2 volumes for 18.96 ech
