I'd brought this release up not so long ago, but it'll be more fun in its own topic to learn about a show I've never seen. The Double Dragon cartoon's first complete DVDs are slated for July.

It was delayed somewhere, a few sites say March or April.

These DVD's are terrible quality. They crammed way too many episodes into each disc and they look awful from both age and compression. There are halo's and artifacts all over the place including dot crawl, very blurred chroma, and lots of rainbows. Another kind of annoying thing they did is they took the 4:3 picture and put it into a 16:9 image with the 4:3 in the middle of it. It doesn't ruin this by any means, but it is kind of a waste and annoying for purists.

Still, regardless of how bad these look, it's still the only way to get this complete series on home media, and looks better than VHS.

I give the series 5 stars for being a great cartoon show, but I have to give this release a much lower score for its poor quality and handling. (2 stars)

I LOVE Batman the Animated series. It probably was one of the better, animated Batman shows. I remember watching that after Toonami or on it? I forget. Not typically something Id go out of the way to watch, but it is one thing I grew to enjoy.
