Thumbs up Disney educates customers with the Blu-ray Challenge

Awesome move, on their part. Check it out:

http://video.movies.go.com/bluraychallenge/

Sorry if this is a repost, BTW.

EDIT: It's also a sweepstakes for a home theater setup. Very up to date on the facts, mentions Blu-ray's 75% studio support and the fact that HD DVD players cost less.

Hmm... I don't really seeing it as educating a whole lot... could've been better. But, hey, I won't mind if I win.

Odder though, question 6 asks a choice between 3, but only 2 choices given.

I know, I was going to plump for DVD as well.

I don't like how the host stopped after a few questions.

I sort of agree, but you'd be surprised how confused people are. Someone recently told a friend of mine that Warner made the switch to HD DVD!

You just clicked through it too fast. Give it a second and the host will reappear.

I'd disagree. While most, if not all, of us on this forum may not have learned much, a great number of people who are just starting to do research and look into going hi-def will learn a lot. Every single question gives solid information and reasons why someone should choose Blu-ray.

I especially like the honesty in question 7. Some people new to all this, may well be swayed by the lower ticket price of some HD-DVD players. Confronting this question head on and refuting the temptation to buy the cheaper, but vastly less valuable player is one of the best parts of this little presentation.

Good job Disney!
