United Kingdom Citizen Kane - November 19th

Orson Welles' Citizen Kane, widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, will finally be released in the UK by Universal on November 19th. Warner already released a region-free edition in the US last year.

Interesting. Have had the Warner Box Set since release last year, but here's hoping for some new extra material.

Good news. It'd also be nice to get the new Casablanca edition over here sometime as well.

Fantastic news. Will definitely pick this up. Kept putting off importing and have been waiting for a UK release.

When I saw it, I was hoping that Universal might release The Magnificent Ambersons on the same day but sadly not. I got the Warner disc from the US so it'll take some mighty extras to get me to double dip.

Too late, imported the region free US release.

Universal will probably botch it up with DNR or something as well.

About damn time. Baffled why this hasn't been out before now, but I shall get it pending original price.

Suprisingly a really great film/narrative that doesn't seem like an old old film.

Most likely not, since it's not a "Universal" made movie. They just have the rights in the UK. Oh well, looks like the chances of a Masters Of Cinema edition is gone.

The UK DVD had a lot of extras which weren't on the US blu-ray. Providing those are included on there or some other extra features not on the US disc, then I will double dip. I would like the TV movie included in the deluxe US boxset on the UK disc, as it was on Region 1 DVD, and I can't play multi region discs, which was the main reason I got the cheaper digibook release

I'm not sure whether I love the Citizen Kane digibook more or the original King Kong one

I'm very interested in owning this on BR, but I'll wait a bit to pre-order until the extra's are known.
