That's a fitting and gorgeous cover for one of the best horror movies ever made.

Now, I hope that the other films in The Val Lewton Horror Collection DVD set will see the light of day on Blu-ray someday.

Yeah, I love that cover, too. Definitely in for this. At the very LEAST I'm hoping they'll give us I Walked With A Zombie, as well.

Wow, I never saw that coming. Great news! I wonder if they do have the other Lewtons from Warner, and if so, would they do a box set instead of individuals. Regardless, I'm glad Warner is licensing a title or two more out to Criterion, and also stepping up their speed on their own Blu releases of catalog lately.

I think if CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE is included as a bonus feature on this release, it will seem likely that they licensed the other Lewtons.

I never thought this film would be fortunate enough to get the Criterion treatment. It's nice to see that WB is finally loosening the reigns and handing over more titles to Criterion.

Im sure Criterion has a couple more Lewtons.. Its not part of a deal but part of a - what Warner calls - "a unique circumstance" that causes them to sublicense a movie or several. Criterion has restored some WB titles in exchange for Criterion to release some of their movies - which is both good deal and a win win situation for the labels and the fans who collect. I cannot wait for this release !!

I've said it in nearly every thread where it comes up, but I'm hoping The Thing From Another World and Freaks will also have unique circumstances.
