I saw some of the original, but I was too young to care... and changing their background/ethnicity just to throw in the deportation aspect instead of their parents dying is a bad move... being on Freeform doesn't help either because I think they do better with comedies than drama... so I'm going to skip it as well.

I loved the first 2 episodes. This is the first ABC Family/Freeform show I've watched since Famous In Love. The drama is very well done and the cast is great.

I was a bit young when the original was on the air, but I could still appreciate the hotness of Neve Cambell, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Lacey Chabert (who was older than I was when the show was on the air

After 6 episodes so far, this is without a doubt my favorite show on TV at the moment. Good writing and acting. Very rare that we get a boring scene or filler. Every minute of screentime is well crafted. I really hope we get a second season, but the low ratings worry me.
