Shout! Factory will be releasing Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) on 4K in July! There should be a regular, as as well as a Steelbook release.

Note/ Warning: There are numerous reports that the 4K transfer is less colorful than previous transfers on past formats. There is a possibility this is an incorrect color space issue, as the included Blu-ray does not have this issue. You can see a comparison between the two formats here. I strongly suggest everyone contact SF about this, and let them know: info@shoutfactory.com

If you do pick up the disc, you can adjust yuor color settings to get the film to look a little more colorful. Not ideal, but it more or less addresses the issue.

Both editions of the film along with all the deleted scenes would be nice.

I guess it would be too much for a retrospective documentary as well.

I actually keep a replica of the ID card from the poster in my wallet for sh*ts and giggles hahaha definitely wanna know about the features for this!

Oh man. I remember that being advertised on the VHS and you could send away for the poster. That's cool that you still have yours.

Hell yeah!! I really hope they do right by this film and the multiple cuts its had. The tv version…or a tv version…had a ton of extra footage.
