What company is "The Mist" under? - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone heard of the release date of the Mist? I didnt see it but I heard good things...Would it be worth it on blu ray as a blind buy?

Weinstein. Will not be released on either Blu-ray or HD DVD.

Right now it seems that Weinstein can't afford to make high def disc.

What the hell does this mean? there has to be a real reason he doesn't make hd or blu, probably he doesn't want to put money on the wrong horse. he needs to put his money on the blu one

It's probably that they haven't made much money on their releases to date and are going through financial troubles at the moment. Once HD-DVD gets the heck out of the way then we'll probably see some Weinstein releases.
