Yeah, those paddles on the back are pretty awesome.

Looks pretty rad, here's hoping it doesn't cost 100 bucks or more... seeing as a regular controller costs $60, I could maybe go for $80. They need to improve the wireless connectivity (My XB1 controller loses connection sporadically) a battery life to make it a must buy for me.

It probably will considering the market out right now. Probably around 149.99 if I had to guess. Scufgaming is in trouble.

*edit*

Looks like I was right. 149.99 http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/a...ess-controller

That is what I was thinking, Scuf had the market pretty much cornered. I guess since the majority of CoD players were/are on the Xbox platform, MS saw an opportunity. Not sure how many folks buy Scuf controllers, but I would assume now that most hardcore FPS players will buy this.

Would be awesome if Sony followed suit.

Agreed edge. I looked it up recently and a fully customizable you are looking at almost 200++ for a controller which is crazy. I would feel much more comfortable buying something official like this.

Something else is you can only get Scuf controllers online, and you have to submit a button and controller layout configuration, they build it, and send it to you.

This controller will be on store shelves, where you can own and walk out with it the same time you pay for it. This is a huge convenience IMO, Scuf controllers also need to be shipped back when they break.

I also think this might help level the playing field where Scuf owned players outplay others due to not having to lift their thumbs from the analog sticks. Lastly, it will hopefully end the whole "Scuf contollers are modded so you are cheating" debate. If anyone can get this controller more readily (for the most part - $$$) then it is not really an unfair advantage, also especially since it is an official MS controller.

So now, I will admit, that if there was any excitement for me from the conference, it would have to be this, since I am a big online FPS fan.

$150!? Funny how they left that little tidbit out of the announcement. I guess that would have killed the excitement.

MS can keep it. I'll stick with the stock XB1 controller.

I still wouldn't buy that controller even if it were $60. I'm perfectly fine with the regular controller.

I paid for a premo Xbox controller for $150 with no mods from evil controllers. This just looks better to me. The d-pad rotational for the win.

This controller is made mostly for the hardcore PC fans who will gladly pay $150 for this and the few X1 fans to. This isn't meant for the casual crowd so the price is pretty fitting.

MS version of a Scuf controller? Sign me up. This will come in handy for the online FPS

Ehh, This looks like a neat idea, but for me, way too pricey. If it was $99, I would be more tempted to try it out.
