Have done a thread search in the Movies sub-forum, and I can't find an existing discussion thread specifically about movie marathon nights and mystery movie nights at the cinema.
A long time ago I went to a four film screening at my local cinema (called Mystery Fright Friday). Most of the people who went to the screening stayed throughout (including myself). It started late evening and finished in the early hours of Saturday morning (technically, still Friday night). The films shown (can't remember the exact order the films appeared in, but one of them was a current release (Saw III): Hostel or Hostel II The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) Wes Craven's New Nightmare (my favourite film of the night) and Saw III. The local cinema has done 24-hour horror film marathons since, but I couldn't go to those (a three or four film night is enough for me). |
