The Shows been PlayStation exclusive since it started. Sony are idiots agreeing to that. If I was them I would give Xbox and the other systems a water down version and give PlayStation the best version. Sony are idiots financing a game they have to put on other systems

Why are people butt hurt over this? This is actually a good thing for Sony. They don't have to be out any additional money and get to profit from additional copies being sold, even if it is on another console. I am sure there are a lot of XB1 owners who do not have a PS4 that will buy the game.
I am sure not many people bought a PS4 just for a baseball game, so this move makes a ton of sense. People need to take a chill pill and calm down. The game will probably look better on XB1 anyway, at least until the PS5 comes out. |

I guess I see both sides....
At first glance, it seems like Sony is dropping a major exclusive from the Playstation family - and they are. However, from a pure business standpoint, it's probably going to make them more money in the long run. As far as what this means for the actual game...I hope that it doesn't cause issues and I hope that some of the stuff that those of us who are rabid fans of the game have been asking for, come to fruition. I'd love more customization - like the ability to create a franchise from the ground up and/or move to another city. I have both a PS4 and XBOX1 and I play the vast majority of my games on my PS4. The only games on my XB1 are the Forza racing games. Only time will tell if this is a good move for the actual game or not. |

I know a lot of people who buy a PlayStation to be able to play The Show. Yeah they are losing money cause ether have to pay Microsoft to put it on the Xbox plus Xbox gets a cut of every game sold on Xbox. I rather have a 100% cut of a product I’m putting my own money into then to cut it with the competition.

Financially it makes sense for a sports game to not be console specific as the demographic for a sports game is limited to its fan base. I love baseball and have bought the Show every year but the sport is dwindling and interest for a baseball game is as well. MLB is doing anything they can to generate interest for their sport. Now someone who owns an XB1 can give the game a try who otherwise wouldn’t have. |

Sony is not going to purposefully make a bad game just because it will be on Xbox. The crap games that are on multiple consoles are developed and produced by third parties. Microsoft and Sony are not going to intentionally put out a game that does damage to their reputation. |

Now if you want to say the XboX port will be substandard despite Ps5 and Scarlett having near identical hardware because SIE has not developed for the Xbox that I will give you. Yes the port will probably have certain issues the PS5 version will most likely not have. |

They make just as much money selling it on Xbox as they do on PS4, they will probably double the sales in 2021 and come out way ahead. I have not bought a baseball game in years, I'll be buying one in 2021

Microsoft gets a cut of every Xbox game that gets sold. It’s not smart for Sony to be putting a game that they are financially backing themselves on Xbox. Sony’s the one who’s paying for the MLB license not Xbox. No way would I do something that makes the competition money regardless of how much it makes me. Sony should have discontinued The Show series and let someone start making baseball games. Sony owns the The Show franchise not MLB. So if Sony decides not to make another Show game then no one else can name their game that unless they buy the rights to the name from Sony. Sony built this franchise and only them and MLB should benefit from it.
