Wow, they're really banging these out now. Hopefully we'll get a few more commentaries on this one.

I'm glad I don't like any of the Star Trek series, there's no way in hell I'd pay what they're asking for these.

It is great news that they aren't dragging this shit out at a rate of one release a year.

Maybe a remastered Deep Space Nine and Voyager isn't such a pipe dream after all... they're going to need some new Trek material to put out in 2015+ when they run out of TNG seasons

Let's hope they can get this season correct right off the bat.

I'll probably break down on the first two sooner or later but this is where they start getting really hard to resist.

I'm thinking I'm going to wait on Season 2 for now, but Season 3... it's going to be really hard not to pick that up on release day.

At this rate, we will likely get season 3 in the Spring, 4 in the summer, and 5 around December on 2013. That means if they go ahead and do DS9 (and I have a hunch they will) we could see season 1 as soon as two years from right now. Sweet.

And after the errors with Season 1 and 2 that probably wasn't the best thing to do, give them more time and get them right from the start is what I say.

Amen.

I can already see it now:
"CBS found the missing footage, and the full set will not have any upscaled SD video. Also, all audio issues with season one are now fully resolved, and some of the bad f/x shots from the outsourced f/x houses have been rectified. In addition, there is now four additional hours of extras exclusive to this complete set, as well as alternate cuts of Encounter at Farpoint and All Good Things never released to the public before, all stored together in this beautiful collector's edition packaging!"

Bet me.

That's a rather unattractive shade of green, don't you think? A bit sickly.

Hopefully, at some point in the future, the prices on these season sets will drop, like Battlestar Galactica, Firefly and Stargate Atlantis has.

The trailer for this season was awesome, but the colors seemed kind of oversaturated compared to the normal Season 1 & 2 episodes. Maybe they boosted the contrast just for this trailer. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Doubt it. It'll be more like TOS. Once in a while those are available for $50-60 a season, but usually it's higher.

No problem! You know, just because I don't like any of the TV shows doesn't mean I hate all things Star Trek. If it weren't for J.J. Abrams I would have never become a fan of anything involving Star Trek.

There should at least be one commentary on "Yesterday's Enterprise" by director David Carson which was recorded for one of the "Collective" compilations.
