Fulci's The Beyond (1981) ~ When Liza (Catriona MacColl) has a peculiar flashback of Emily (Cinzia Monreale) running down the stairs. This is obviously Fulci's stunning de Palma moment, but it stands out in my opinion. It's a revealing eerie scene with great editing, just love it. Your turn.

There are so many, but if I had to choose one it would be the beginning of Scream with Drew Barrymore. Just an epic sequence.

It was well over 20 years ago and I still vividly remember seeing that for the first time.

Starts off funny and cute, goes to creepy, then scary, then brutal, and ends with a stunning emotional finale. It's an absolute masterpiece.

In George A Romero's Day of the Dead 1985, at the end when all the zombies are set free from the corrals wooden gates in the catacombs underground. And also the opening scene when the helicopter crew call out if anybody's there, and in the city all the zombies awaken and start heading towards them.

In The Shining 1981, the peaceful snow storm, watching the TV and then the slow unfolding of the nightmare after Danny learns his father wants them to stay there forever, and ever, and ever. When Jack finds out he's embracing an old demonic, laughing hag.

In 1979's Salem's Lot, when the vampire kid floats to the window at night, and starts tapping on the glass. When the teacher enters the room and sees the cemetery worker sitting in a rocking chair near the window at night. And when Nosferatu breaks into the jail, clicks open the bars, and then its horrific image is shown with a ghastly shriek.

In Hereditary, after the father is burned instantly, the kid goes downstairs and behind him crawling on the walls, is his possessed mother.

In Exorcist 3, when the old lady is crawling on the ceiling in the nursing home. And the scene when we're staring down the hall of the hospital, and the one nurse is going from room to room, and the possessed nurse with a knife suddenly appears from a room. Scared the hell out of me in the theater.

Fulci's The Beyond, when the woman and guy are in the hospital and the zombie patients start walking towards them.

A lot more horror scenes to list, but out of time for now.
