I find that I don't watch Netflix as much as I would like either because I don't have time and there is no content at the moment that I am interested in watching. I was thinking of dropping my Netflix subscription and just solely rent or buy on Vudu or GooglePlay. Most movies are available to rent for a few bucks. And a lot of times, Vudu and GooglePlay has some good sales where they have some movies available to buy for about $5. Not to mention that Vudu has an amazing disc to digital conversion where you can obtain some movies for only $2 if you have the Blu-ray barcode.
So I was thinking of dropping Netflix, which will save me $13 per month. And I could use that $13 to buy or rent movies on Vudu. Eventually, I'll build up a nice digital library that I will be able to stream forever. I think in the long run, it will be cheaper than $13 per month and like I said, the movies are mine. And not to mention that if there is a long period of time I end up not watching due to a busy schedule, then I don't have to worry about paying for a subscription that I'm not using. Anyone else do this instead of using Netflix? |
