The simple explanation for this would be that the car owners recently moved across the country. I would most definitely want to take my car. Not weird at all in my opinion. I think you're just overthinking this one.

I once took a bus cross country and it was among the worst experiences of my life.
Really?? Not everybody has the money to just give up a car and go out and buy another one. As for cross country travelling...the people that I know that have done it plan it out and take their time stopping in different places on their way to their final destination. Getting there is half the fun.

I live in Alaska and often people just ferry their cars to and from the lower 48. Still cheaper than buying another in most cases.

Some old dude driving while on the phone. He then reached over to the glove box and pulled out a piece of printing paper and a pen and started writing stuff on the the steering wheel, while still on the phone.

I also saw a guy on the freeway going at speed, playing lottery scratchers on the steering wheel.

There is a large natural park with a lot of hiking trails nearby. I was driving through looking for a place to park and saw a car with the engine running and they had placed sun screens on every window. The car was bouncing.

they probably just installed a bouncy castle in the back. i've seen it before. they're a lot of fun. although you can't get too much height in the backseat of a car.

If they're intention was to make a once useful site useless then they succeeded quite admirably.

We had a site in the UK where you could look up basically any home video release and it was ruined too.

A long time ago, while heading home from work,
[Show spoiler]there was 2 dogs humping in clear view on the front lawn near the intersection.
Unfortunately, this happened while I was at a 4-way stoplight waiting for the light to turn green.

The other day in Walmart. The person in front of me had the Noah's Ark of suspicious purchases. Two of darn near everything. Well... at least, two sets of sheets, two bottles of personal lube, and two rolls of duct tape. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, in believing that the duct tape was an auditory courtesy to the neighbors during lengthy sessions of self-pleasuring, but you're free to interpret the scene as you will.

weirdest thing Ive ever seen was some cracked out looking guy on a Paris subway station holding an empty wallet in front of me and asking for money. that doesnt sound too weird but the guy looked like a zombie and I feel lucky I didnt get stabbed when I politely declined

other weird stuff? I dont know. when I was in Iraq I looked outside the perimeter and some kids were dancing naked in some pool of water or something. they couldve been summoning a demon or doing a rain dance not really sure

ive seen some weird bugs now and then. moths, spiders, and the like. a camel spider in Iraq. yeah that was pretty weird

talking on the phone (without hands-free technology)/texting are both illegal in most states, here. yet it isn't widely enforced unless they pull the driver over for some other violation.

for the longest time...in this state...you couldn't get pulled over just for not wearing your seat belt or for texting. they had to pull you over for something else (speeding, reckless driving, etc.) and THEN they could write you a separate ticket for a seat belt/texting violation. now, they can pull you over for either regardless and write you a ticket for either one. they called it a "grace period".

i called it giving people permission to be idiots
