Default GodSpell

GodSpell is one of my fave movies. I really love it. The Music is great and the Storyline/Philosophy seems to me more Taoist than Evangelist.

I was curious what this is:

https://www.blu-ray.com/uv/Godspell-UltraViolet/7222/

Ultraviolet: Am I right to assume it just means that the Movie is available in 1080p for D/L in the usual places like Amazon et al?

Thanx!

Godspell is ALSO a favorite of mine and dream of the day when it hits bluray. I'm happy to see that it's available on UV. I might be adding that to my UV collection soon. And yeas, it APPEARS that it's already in HI-DEF, being 1080p.

Hopefully our dream will come true.

I'm still not clear on what UV is(?) Is it the same as the Amazon Instant Video and Net Flix, or is it something else?

I watched the DVD recently and its a nice colorful transfer.

UV stands for Ultra Violet, which is a streaming site like Vudu.com Many new movies come with a code which you can enter and have internet access to the same movie online anywhere you are.

I figure if Godspell already has an HD transfer, MAYBE we'll see a bluray one day.

That would be really nice but I'm not so sure that if something pops-up as a Stream that that has anything to do with a future Blu-Ray release.

A few of my fave-rave movies have shown up in 1080p in the "Usual" Place lately. Earth Girls Are Easy just appeared a week or so ago, and it looks really nice. Much better than my old DVD, which wasn't too bad either.

Same thing with the Altman Popeye. Its been around for quite a while though and no Blu-Ray yet.

Buckaroo popped-up too, and then was released on Blu-Ray in Germany but not in America, and it looks to be the Special Edition too! (But in PAL).
(http://www.dvdplanet.com/buy/bluray/...ension_3705894 22 clams!!!)

I wish Murphy's Romance and Milagro Beanfield Wars would be released on Blu too... sigh.

Is there a way we can have this Thread added to the New GodSpell Thread?

Thanx<

I don't think it's necessary, it would be weird to have posts about hoping for it to be released inside a thread announcing it's release.

Let's just be happy it's coming, and post our love for it in the new thread.
