Does anyone know if this film has ever been released on blu-ray?

In 1979 the Romanian government funded the making of a splendidly nationalistic 134-minute epic about one of their country's most celebrated and controversial heroes, the real Vlad Tepes, a.k.a. Vlad the Impaler.

It's had a few DVD releases, as far as I can tell, including a German DVD with a great cover:



But I'm thinking that it might have had a blu-ray release somewhere, as a 1080p version exists on YouTube which has good resolution but appears to have been subjected to some very iffy digital grading.

I don't know Romanian, so I haven't had any luck funding a source in that neck of the woods. Anyone have a lead, perhaps?

Myself being into medieval type films (but not the fake stuff Hollywood puts out these days), had become interested in this film as well. Would love to see a blu ray release

The movie was not released on Blu-ray and I don't think it will be anytime soon. The version on youtube was taken from a Romanian VOD service which is no longer active. The quality was not great to begin with on that service. The movie was only rescanned, not reconditioned.
