Well, that's gonna be cool. I doubt I'll subscribe to Paramount+ over it, but maybe I'll catch it online or with an eventual Blu-Ray release.

Color me interested. Not sure how the show will be without Niles, Roz, and Daphne being regulars but I'll give the show a chance.

As much as I love the character and show, I don't think this will go well. Have a feeling it will go as well as the Murphy Brown revival went

Don't worry, if will & grace 2.0 and slug along for three years. The big question mark is the all new supporting cast for nuFrasier, they will simply make or break the show.

In a previous statement, Grammer noted that he "gleefully anticipates sharing the next chapter in the continuing journey of Dr. Frasier Crane."

Though there's no confirmation on who Grammer's co-stars will be, the series will focus on Dr. Crane living life in a new city, surrounded by new characters—though original cast members like David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves and Peri Gilpin could make guest appearances.

Definitely looking forward to this, and it also explains the upcoming Blu-ray release, which I hope has been given the proper attention it deserves.

You need to fix the title.

The series also starred David Hyde Pierce, Jane Leeves, and Peri Gilpin, none of whom are currently attached to the revival.

It makes sense since he'll be in a different city, but I hope to see them.
Wonder also if we'll habe Laura Linney reprising her role. It would be phenomenal to have two lead such as her and Grammer together.

As for the Freddy casting, I don't know the actor but he looks perfect.
It is also interesting how they thought of the premise: Frasier with inverted role.

I hope for the setting they'll pick a north american city, Chicago would be perfect.

With Lyndhurst being cast I guess there is the possibility Frasier is living in the UK, just a thought.

Most of these just dont work but I suppose it cant hurt to try. This is what they do in 2023. Keep rebooting and regurgitating.

It whiffs of Star Trek: Picard for me. Kelsey, like Patrick Stewart, is simply cashing in on his legacy

You don't think that "legacy" has earned him the opportunity to at least try? If he feels there is still a strong story to tell, then let events play out on their own. He'll get it out of his system and have no regrets, and the fans will decide if it's quality or not.

I daresay he'll do whatever he likes regardless of what I think, but I'm very firm on thinking that it's a mistake. Everybody remembers Frasier and Cheers fondly and Kelsey Grammer seems to me, much like Patrick Stewart, to be doing this mainly because he can't hit with anything else.

Understood that he is going to do whatever he wants to. At the same time, you don't have to tune in to one second of this new show. You have the DVDs and blu-rays of the original series to watch if you get nostalgic (I know this goes without saying, and I'm not trying to be smart-assed about it). I for one, am looking forward to seeing where they can take the story. It's going to be challenging without Marty Crane, but I'm willing to give it a shot. If it ends up going somewhere I'm not interested in following, I too will hold tighter to the original series.
