So I decided to finally upgrade my dual Bic F12 subwoofers after all these years. Very exciting! I've narrowed it down to getting a pair of SVS subs from the 2000 line. The issue is, I can't decide between the ported and sealed sub.... A huge part of upgrading is to have that extension into the teens. I contacted SVS on their opinion and they recommended the sealed subs. They said a pair of ported subs would be overkill in terms of sound levels for my room size. I really do like the piano gloss finish I can get with the sealed subs. They'd go well with my SVS prime towers and center with the same finish. The ported subs go down to 17hz, with the sealed going down to 19hz +/- 3 db. Do you think the 2hz difference would warrant getting the ported over the sealed?
