My favorite Craig vs my favorite Moore.

Casino Royale is a perfect moden adaption of the novel, Vesper Lynd best Bond girl of all time; it's my pick.

THE SPY WHO LOVED ME was my introduction to Bond in the Summer of 1977, making me an instant fan who hasn't missed a 007 adventure in its original theatrical run to this day. After two fairly low-rent entries, the series came roaring back with this sprawling adventure fantasy - a return to eye-filling widescreen lensing, magnificent Ken Adam sets, outrageous gadgets and stunning locations all providing a striking return to visual opulence. Roger Moore's eyebrow-raising charmer teaming up with Barbara Bach's amusingly stoic and luscious Russian agent to save the world makes for a delightful pairing, and the larger-than-life villains are perfect adversaries It's all briskly-paced, tongue-in-cheek, exciting entertainment - set to Marvin Hamlisch's appropriately cheeky disco score - that's Moore's best Bond film by miles and possibly the most sheer fun of the entire series.

CASINO ROYALE was an altogether bracing experience in 2006 - a Bond film that dispensed with any form of cartoonishness and campiness to provide a tough and compelling 007 adventure. There's genuine suspense and emotion here, and some real tension and visceral kick in the chase and fight sequences. Daniel Craig exudes a combination of charm, intelligence and brutality that's riveting, and he's terrifically supported by Eva Green's beauteous and tragic Vesper Lynd and Mads Mikkelsen's creepy and sinister Le Chiffre. Though modernised, this film hews closer to Fleming than anything since ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE, and has just as poignant and devastating an ending. This isn't just a great Bond film, it's a great thriller and even drama.

This is a real "Sophie's Choice" for me - I love both these Bond films for very different reasons - and frankly, I can't choose between them...so I won't. I'll leave it to my fellow Bond fans to decide this one.

The Spy Who Loved Me is a top 5 Bond film for me. I like Casino Royale, and I understand its significance in reinvigorating the franchise, but I've always thought it was a bit overrated.

I love Spy Who Loved Me. Probably Moore's best overall outing. The one where everything came together quite perfectly.

But Casino Royale is the best Bond film. Period.

Casino Royale

Eva Green is the perfect Bond girl and Mads Mikkelsen is the perfect villain.

I picked TSWLM, possibly the third best Bond film, in my opinion.

Moore isn't my favorite Bond and TSWLM isn't my favorite Moore entry but it still gets my vote here. I don't know if I'll ever really warm up to Craig's Bond. It's too bad the producers have him playing the role so grim because he showed in Knives Out that he's quite capable of delivering an over the top hammy performance complete with accent.

I can't dislike a Bond more than Moore. Casino Royale, for the win even though I don't like Craig's bond either but at least that isn't because of Craig.

FWIW, entries such as Moonraker, The Spy Who Loved Me, and For Your Eyes Only are some of my least favorite films from the Bond franchise, so imagine my shock seeing them rack up so many votes from the community, and some of them even beating several of the ones I happen to enjoy (The Man With the Golden Gun, You Only Live Twice).

Some of the results from these rounds have been like bizarro world with all the Moore love lol. Specifically, anything that’s not Live and Let Die, the best from his run as 007.

The Spy Who Loved Me has largely been regarded as Moore's best outing for decades now. For Your Eyes Only typically gets slotted in right behind it. None of this should come as a shock. Also, I think in retrospect, with the serious nature of Craig's Bond and action films in general, Moore's films are somewhat of a breath of fresh air viewing them now. Like, hey, remember when a Bond movie was just fun!

I like Casino Royale an awful lot, but Spy Who Loved Me is my favorite Moore Bond, and I like Roger Moore a hell of a lot more than Daniel Craig as Bond.
