Warner Bros The Lost Boys (1987) 4K UHD

Quote:
And I promised you a little a little more Warner Bros. catalog 4K news, didn’t I? Well, our industry sources are now telling us to expect Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys to arrive in 4K Ultra HD from the studio next year, along with Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen’s Singin’ in the Rain. The former celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2022, while the latter celebrates its 70th.

I was ahead of my time.

Our resident scooper has already said that The Lost Boys is coming in 2022, so it's as good as confirmed.

This is the 2nd movie I remember ever seeing in a theater. The only 4k I could possibly want more is the 1st movie I can remember: Aliens. Bring it on, Day 1 for sure!

I hate to complain about this, because I will buy this day 1. But it boils my blood, that this is getting a 35th anniversary 4k from WB,yet WB saw fit to skip over Nightmare On Elm Street on its 35th Anniversary. Sorry, but someone had to say it.

Elm Streets a New Line film though. There never going to treat New Line films the same unless its LOTR since the yare not part of the company's history.

How about the four Lethal Weapon movies in 2022? It would be the 35th anniversary of the first one and 30th anniversary of the third one.

Absolutely no further news for the past few months? Perhaps this thread should be moved to the wish list, unless of course you really trust Bill Hunt and his "industry sources".

As much as I’d love to pile in on the Hunt-bashing, it’s the 10th of fookin January. Why people think every rumoured release is going to be announced in the first two weeks of the year is just baffling to me.

An official thread should have never been made. With that said this and Poltergeist are rumored for fall of 2022.
