I just watched this, imported to the UK from the US. Wow I absolutely loved it, so much fun with colourful costumes, great songs and a really upbeat and uplifting feel. Jessica Rothe is fantastic as is the rest of the cast and it's hard not to watch without a big smile. The movie is very funny too with lots of knowing jokes. The only downside is there are no extras which is certainly a shame.

Cute little remake. I loved how they integrated the lyrics of so many classic 80s pop, new wave and punk classics into the musical numbers. Wasn’t expected to like this as much as I did. Give it a spin.

I also loved how they folded footage of a car drive from the original into a similar scene in the remake. Very clever.

Rented this over the weekend. Really liked this movie especially the 80s songs. I have never seen the original. This movie is definitely a purchase.

My 2 favorite (cover) songs were:
- Boys Don’t Cry

- Space Age Love Song*

* I haven’t heard this song before and went to YouTube afterwards. Listened to that song over 10 times.

Fan of the original. I heard bad things about this film but it showed up on streaming so I started it up. Made it halfway through the first dance number and decided to buy it on disc. Then I saw there were no supplemental materials

Yeah it's just the movie and I think maybe the trailer too. Worth owning though I think anyway, I liked it.

Got the BD this week (still with o-card!) I just watched it. I liked it a lot even though it's quite unusual, it looks like a candy commercial the first half hour with lots of filter, but it feels like later on it becomes more "real". Was that on purpose? I mean, it would make sense but I saw no sudden obvious change.
I was also surprised that there are ZERO extras, not even the trailer.

My reason for buying was Alicia Silverstone, who's not credited anywhere, but I have to say the younger her Jessica Rothe is really good and absolutely gorgeous. Her boyfriend though, he looked a bit weird, what's with his hair, looks like a really bad toupé. No way a guy of that scene would have had such bad hair.
